Shelby is a natural. Her interview style is relaxed yet poised. She asks the questions I would want to ask if I was talking to Chris Sharma, Rebecca Rusch or Damien LeRoy. What a guest list!! It's all my favorites, but then also people I've never heard of that are doing incredibly wild adventures, and making a living from it. I am always looking forward to the next show. Definitely inspiring and brings hope that almost anything is possible. Thanks Shelby. Keep going!

I initially subscribed to Wild Ideas as a precursor to a month long trip to Bali. Obviously having such an epic time, I didn't even get started listening until recently, when I returned home. Your podcast has helped to maintain my stoke during Lake Atlantic summer flatness. I've been inspired by you and all of your guests and am beginning work on my own "Wild Idea." All the thoughts that have run through my head are so similar to what you and your guests have spoke of. So I guess I'm on the right path so far...
- Inspiring!July 20, 2017 by LeahMB110384 from United States
I started listening to this podcast first thing every morning -- before email and facebook and insta and news. Two years ago I was feeling restless and decided to take a solo trip to Alaska. Ever since returning to my "real life" in Denver, Colorado I've been daydreaming about moving to Alaska. I always framed it in my head as a daydream because I didn't have a real reason to do it. I have a perfectly fine life here in Colorado but "am I just supposed to just drive to and from the office every day until I retire!?" goes through my head almost every day. The interview with Steph Jagger about the false narrative about needing to hit rock bottom before making big, brave moves and then about focusing on starting lines instead of finish lines has been stuck in my head for weeks. I've decided to move to Alaska because it seems like a starting line that's been calling to me -- I have no idea what will come of it but thanks to Shelby and her guests, I can't ignore it any more. So thank you, for putting this content out there and having amazing guests and asking interesting questions. This is a rare podcast that is making a real impact.

Wild Ideas Worth Living has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. I first started listening when the episode with Chris Burkard was uploaded. Since then, it has been a weekly source of inspiration, as well as motivation to continue learning. Shelby is a great host, leading each guest in sharing their thoughts and stories. One of my favorite recurring questions is, “If you could fly an eco-friendly plane with a banner displaying a message for the world to see, what would you have that banner say?” Another reoccurring theme in the podcast is the quote, “We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.” If you are spending time listening to this podcast, you headed in a good direction!

Educational, fun & funny, and I come away from each episode feeling ready to tackle my own wild ideas! Shelby's guests are interesting and super inspiring and she knows how to ask the questions that help us understand how they went after their Wild Idea, what the rewards have been, and how to help us overcome our own uncertainties about pursuing a curiosity, idea, or passion of our own. Keep em coming! 😀

Just wanted to say what an awesome podcast this is. Not only do you share stories from such a variety of people, but you provide such awesome resources as well. In the past year I have been working to change my lifestyle into being more ethically and environmentally conscious, and just a few months ago I entered the world of podcasts, and I just LOVE your promotion for ethically minded companies and your encouragement to think about where our food comes from. This summer your podcasts have kept me inspired and motivated as I listened whilst working on an orchard to save for my next adventure (and study costs), but the stories I heard were truly the highlight of my day! ? Also thanks for such thorough show notes- its always so great to read over them and get the links once I get home from work or once I'm out of the car. This is quality content which is sure to leave you feeling positive, inspired and uplifted!!!

Shelby has been a friend of mine for a couple years now and when I heard she had started this podcast and was interviewing some really amazing people I couldn't wait to hear the episode about Ryan and Nicole Levinson. My husband to be and I are about to sail accross the Pacific...oh yea...after we get married. Ryan and Nicole have done it and their story is so amazing! Shelby knew all the right questions to ask to get the most dynamic story out of these two amazing adventurers. Shelby is witty, smart and dynamic. It's not a unilateral story line, rather, she takes you through the entire experience with the people she is interviewing. Since listening to the podcast, Jesse and I have had a two hour conversation with our new friends and inspirations, Ryan and Nicole, who have given us some invaluable tidbits of information. Thank you Shelby. Keep spreading the good word about the amazing people in our world. I can't wait to hear more!

Wild Ideas Worth Living is such a motivating and inspiring podcast. A lot of people have thought about changing their current situation into something that may seem outlandinsh. However, they haven't made the change because they lack the motivation or confidence to make the leap. Hearing how others have followed their wild idea hopefully give those people the confidence to make that change, to take that leap and follow their wild idea. I know it has for me! These are the true stories about the grit and the grind, the ups and the downs, the laughs and the tears that come with following your heart. The people Shelby has interviewed are real, honest & funny. Shelby does a great job taking you on a journey of turning a Wild Idea into something Worth Living.
